This product supports the 4th grade Math standard: 

CCSS MACC.4.OA.2.4 Find all factor pairs for a whole number in the range 1-100. Recognize that a whole number is a multiple of each of its factors. Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1-100 is a multiple of a given one-digit number. Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1-100 is prime or composite..

This product contains a total of 24 math problems aligned to this standard. The word problems are a variety of complexity. This is an activity you could use around Christmas time to review factors and multiples. If you are a 5th or 6th grade teacher, this product might be a fun and useful review tool or as an intervention. 

There are several ways you might use this in your classroom:

Print as a packet for each student. 
Print 2 pages back to back. If you do it this way, you will have several days of practice.
Use in a Math Center.
Use as a homework sheet

This is an informational newspaper-style text perfect to teach your students about Veterans Day and may be used over a few days. The questions are offered in two versions: a bingo game and traditional multiple-choice/short response format

🚨 This resource is part of the Holiday Reading Comprehension Bingo Bundle. 

Bingo
Bingo sheets are included, which have questions from the article. Students read the informational text about Veterans Day. Then, they answer questions on the bingo grid. The grid comes in 26 different versions. Having each student use a different version of the answer grid will allow you to reinforce the content of the informational text by playing a game of bingo possibly on Veterans Day or at the end of the week. The questions range from vocabulary, finding the main idea, using text features, as well as finding key details. 

How to Play:
The first page is an answer key, which can be used to play the game of bingo. Cut up each square, place in a Ziploc bag or container of your choice and call out questions. Students must answer the question correctly and have 5 in a row. Up, down, or diagonally. Students can use counters or any treats to keep track of the questions called.

Reading Comprehension Questions: The questions are also in a traditional multiple choice and short answer format. Not all answers are included from the Bingo grid and the questions may be slightly different. You would not need to use BOTH formats – pick one or the other.

Thank You Letter: Paper for students to write a Thank You Letter to a veteran is also included.

1. Google Slides/PowerPoint: This is an interactive teaching presentation to use to teach the skills. The Google Slides and PowerPoints help you teach or review the skill. There are three versions included in both PowerPoint & Google Slides. The slide presentation is organized so that you can:

  1. Model the Skill
  2. Let's Try It! (Active Engagement)
  3. Independent Practice (Exit Slip)

Version 1: (Teaching Slides) These slides include transitions so that you can discuss the answers before they appear. The answers are also in the notes section of the slideshow.

Version 2: (Student Slides)  These slides can be used if you are teaching virtually or if you want to use this as a review and have students complete on their own.

Version 3: (Answer Key) This slide has all the answers. 

2. Graphic Organizers: There are 6 different versions of a chart to make inferences. These can be used with any book or story.

3. Reading Posters: One reading poster for making inferences and another with thinking stems.

4. Reading Comprehension Passages + Questions: There a total of 5 Reading Comprehension Passages & Questions. The questions are all based on making inferences.

5. Exit Slips: Each exit slip can be printed out 2 per page. The Exit Slips are also available in Google Forms. The exit slips are multiple choice or short response.

However, it is rooted in providing a foundation for the elements of story that are so crucial to reading comprehension. Teaching and consistently revisiting the elements of story helps children hold on to the stories as their books get longer and texts get harder.

Cut each puzzle piece into two parts. Store in a Ziploc bag and use as a reading center or as a group activity. There are a total of 12 pieces with the following character motivations: fear, pride, curiosity, freedom, desire, compassion, anger, guilt, greed, love, peer pressure, and jealousy.
