This thematic monthly Reading Tic-Tac-Toe Response helps students engage with their book and do something FUN, while also practicing standards-based reading skills.  Plus, they have a choice. The directions require students to do 3 of the activities per month, but they can earn extra credit by completing additional activities. Seeing what your students create each month is most of the fun! This is a great way to give your students a creative outlet.

June and July are already added later for teachers and students that continue through the summer months OR you just want some fun summer reading practice for your students!

*A DIGITAL OPTION/GOOGLE SLIDES HAS BEEN INCLUDED* Be sure to re-download! There are directions and links inside the pdf.

Examples of Skills Practiced:

  • Character Sketch
  • Point of View (Write from a different POV)
  • Sketch a Scene
  • #Booksmakefriends (recommend the book to a friend)
  • Elements of a Story
  • Context Clues
  • Figurative Language
  • AND MORE!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, contacts, or concerns.
